Muellers say
they will not
quit fighting for lifts on
Snodgrass
Tim and Diane Mueller, who own the Crested Butte Mountain
Resort along with CNL Income Crested Butte, LLC,
have told members of the Coalition for Lifts on
Snodgrass that the CBMR owners do not intend to
give up the fight to establish lift-served
skiing on Snodgrass Mountain.

Welcome to the Coalition for Lifts on
Snodgrass
The Coalition for Lifts on Snodgrass (CLS)
was formed to show public support for
the proposal by Crested Butte Mountain
Resort to put lift-served skiing on
Snodgrass Mountain. The
organizational meeting in February, 2010
followed the abrupt rejection of CBMR’s
plan by the U.S. Forest Service, which
cited what it perceived as a lack of
public support for the proposal.
(Appeal of the Forest Service decision is now
being considered.)
Discussion at the meeting focused on
concerns for the economic viability of
the Gunnison Valley, the need to
strengthen the skiing-based economy, and
the important role the proposed
expansion by CBMR can play in that
effort. It was the consensus of
the group that the organization is
needed to show the Forest Service and
other governmental entities that a large
number of individuals and business
owners support the CBMR proposal.
Members of CLS are residents of
Colorado’s
Gunnison
Valley,
part-time residents, property owners,
business owners, visitors and others who
support the CLS mission.
